ŠKODA POPULAR
SPORT–MONTE CARLO, 1936

Škoda entered the world of motorsport in 1936, with a sports version of its Škoda Popular roadster competing in the Monte Carlo Rally. It finished second in the 1500 cc class, and the factory capitalised on its success, introducing the Škoda Popular Sport–Monte Carlo model. With its Popular range, Škoda became the number one carmaker on the Czechoslovak market.
