L39 ALBATROS, 1977—1999

The subsonic single-engined L39 Albatross jet fighter was used by Warsaw Pact air forces, and James Bond has also flown one. Its long nose, the wings placed towards the rear of the plane, and its smooth curves evoke speed and manoeuvrability. Its predecessor was the famous L29 Dolphin, and its successor the L-159 ALCA. The Albatross is still used for training today.
